Wonder Woman x Maybelline

Today’s post is dedicated to two of my main passions, make-up, as you already know, and superheroes! This world has fascinated me since I was little, when my grandfather read me his comic books and told me stories of strong and valorous personalities.

I am even more proud to present this collection because this time we talk about a woman, Wonder Woman. Maybelline, on the occasion of the release of the first film ever focused on her, on the 1st (TOMORROW!), created an entire heroine collection and I receive her preview a few days ago. The box is a limited edition and you can find it on Amazon at this link, it costs 46.63 euros (instead of 59 euros).

But who is Wonder Woman?
Horsewoman, incredibly strong, intelligent and wise, is one of the most prominent feminine personalities among the super heroines, created in 1941 to give a symbol to women, to help them fight for their ideals and ideas. In a purely male-based society, you can imagine the importance of this super-heroine.

Her aesthetics has evolved a lot:

Unforgettable the first and most famous actress who played this role, Lynda Carter, who with its beauty and charisma has shaped the character:

But in the new film we find a modern Wonder Woman, played by the beautiful actress Gal Gadot, who combine classical heroine features with a “classic” touch from the style of the Horsewomen.

But let’s go to the box: Wonder Woman x Maybelline

· Two Limited Edition Big Shot Mascara, Normal Version and Waterproof Version
· Five Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks
In addition, I found four Color Show Colorblock nail polish, but they are not specified on Amazon.

We start from the nails, where we find the characteristic colors and symbol of Wonder Woman: red, blue, black and yellow. Beautiful packaging!

The first three colors are really intense and homogeneous in one layer, but stratifying them the color intensifies! The yellow is harder to lay, but with two / three layers and a little more attention becomes the perfect yellow of the comics. The brush is really comfortable and functional to lay them!

Let’s go to the Big Shot mascara: color is a very intense black ink, promises extra volume and guys, keeps its promise! My eyelashes are very short, but this mascara can volumize and stretch them, while remaining light. You can also find it in the Waterproof version, perfect for summer! I prefer the waterproof one, it is slightly drier and lighter than the normal one, and it separates the lashes better, though it stretches them slightly less!

And finally the Vivid Matte Liquid!

Each lipstick has a specific role, because Maybelline wanted to create this collection to celebrate ourselves and the women we admire the most. The idea is to give these lipsticks to those who play an important role in our lives. What do you think? In my opinion, it’s a really nice idea!

Lipsticks are very soft and comfortable, when drying (you have to wait a few minutes) have a matt finish. The colors are really beautiful! They are not too hard to put, the applicator helps a lot and the color is full and homogeneous. They’re not long lasting, so be careful to not ruin it!

Finally in the box you’ll find a crown, to be a true Wonder Woman!
